In the afternoon, our American teacher is father who is an associate proferssor of English from central college give us a lesson. He told us something about higher education in the USA. I think it will be useful for our future.
On the other side. I felt uncomfortable today. Perhaps it’s a small regret for such a wonderful day. But I think tomorrow still will be rosy.

My family includes three people and a pet. These three people are my father, my mother , and I. I also have a cat named cookie.
My father is hardworking and playful. He rus a small business at home. He is very busy, but he always s firnds the time to cook dinner and help me with homework. Although he is strict at times, he can also be playful and funny.
My mother is caring and hardworking, too. She’s a chemist and often works very late. Nevertheless, she is always there to take care of me. Though her expectations for me are very high. I know she only wants what’s best for me.
My cat, cookie, is a member of my family, too. She is a cute black and white cat. At times I find her eager to play. But usually she’s sleeping on the sofa. I never know what surprises she’ll bring next.
I consider myself very lucky to come from such a loving family. A family like mine should never be taken for granted. I love my family.

Summer can be very hot in southern Taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32"C or more.
Because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. Also because of this I stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky.
Actually I like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. In the summer vacation that has just ended I went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. This summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. As a second-year senior student I had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. In other words, I must find time to study, too.
So I divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

I went to see the movie Charlie the Chocolate Factory with my brother today. I had great desire to see the movie before because people had high estimate for it. At first I was so excited. Not because the vast volume, also for Johnny Depp. But when it finished, I felt it really was a simple movie very suitable for children. The chocolates looked so delicious though the movie had a bit of distance as my imagination.
I felt Johnny Depp was a good actor because I saw the Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. I was attracted by his character his make-up. Now, I am expecting the sequel. Hope it can reveal the quality as good as the first.
After we watched the movie, the rain goes heavily. Although we had an umbrella, our pants,shoes were wet form it. Because the heavy rain, the visibility was not very good, so we had a littlie traffic accident with the other car. Fortunately, both the carspeople were safe well

In addition, adults took noodles, fruits,teas to get more interest. People in there were so friendly; they could lend us the desk, the chair,everything we need.Now, Huad Shan is not a place for hiking also a tourism scenic spot. We can go there with our family or friends on holiday. It is certainly can relax ourselves.

Today I went to a new class.Here I met many new faces. At first, I felt a little afraid and uncomfortable. I was afraid that I wouldn’t be accepted here, that I would have problems getting on well with others, that I couldn’t catch up with others, and that I couldn’t understand new teachers and classmates.
Now I know I was wrong. Just as the first class begin, as the first word the teacher said to me, as the first smile appeared on my face, I realized I had been a ‘real’member of this class.
But there are things I’m not yet used to, such as I don’t know a lot of words, and I always do things slowly. My ears are not good, but I’ve tried to catch every word the teacher says, and I can mostly understand her, and I usually know what she wants us to do, though a few words are not known.
I’ll try my best to follow my teacher and classmates and someday I can walk with them side by side, I believe.

Today, I went to the countryside with my mother. I was walking alone on the path in the field. Walking, a small animal slowly crawling into my eyes.
Take a closer look, it was originally a small snail. It occurred to me that I wanted to take a walk with this little snail. So I had to walk slowly, for fear that the little snail couldnt keep up. When I took a few steps and looked back, the little snail was so far away from me.
I pushed behind it, but it still crawled slowly. I urged it, I bluffed it, I blamed it, and the snail looked at me with sorry eyes, as if to say, "Ive tried my best!"
Although the snail cant climb fast, it still crawls. In order to reach the place you want to go, in order to complete the goals you set for yourself.
What is our goal? How did we achieve these goals? Snail has achieved its goal with its own efforts and the spirit of never giving up. We should learn the spirit of snail and achieve our goals!

When I got to the elevator, I saw an uncle with gauze on his feet, which seemed to be badly hurt. He was holding a cane in one hand and a large bag of mineral water in the other. All of a sudden, the bag broke and the water bottle was spilling out, and the bottle was running around like a prisoner. Bob squatted down to pick up the water bottle. I squatted down to help uncle pick up naughty mineral water bottles and put them in his hands. "Thank you, little friend," he said kindly. I am embarrassed to say: "dont thank!" It was really a good day today
Today is an exciting day. In the morning we had the singing contest. Everyone did well in it. Somebody sans lyrics and somebody didn’t. When the result came out, only Audrey and Ellison could be in the second run. Vanessa was very sad. But finally she was in the second run. It was really great news for her.
We stayed in our rooms for the whole afternoon. We played cards, slept, read, practiced some English songs for the contest and did out homework. It was a little boring.
In the evening, we had the final singing contest. It was really great. At last, Vanessa got the second prize. Congratulations to her! All of us were proud of her. Edle gave her a bunch of flowers! Then we returned to our rooms.
