I'm grateful that I've been given this opportunity to stand here as a spokesman. Facing all of you on the stage, I have the exciting feeling of participating in this speech competition. The topic today is WHAT WE CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE. If you ask me this question, I must tell you that I think the answer is a word---- responsibility.
In my elementary years, there was a little girl in the class who worked very hard, however she could never do satisfactorily in her lessons. The teacher asked me to help her, and it was obvious that she expected a lot from me. But as a young boy, I was so restless and thoughtless, I always tried to get more time to play and enjoy myself. So she was always slighted over by me.
One day before the final exam, she came up to me and said, "Could you please explain this to me? I can not understand it. I just want a good score". I started explaining, and finished in a hurry because I made an appointment with my friend to play computer games together. Not surprisingly, she again did very badly in the exam. After that, she began to dislike me and said no words to me. It let me feel very bad. Maybe it is a little thing to you now, but I was about eight or nine years old at that time, in a way, it was the very starting point of my life, for I began to understand the word "responsibility" and to learn to always do my duties faithfully. Gradually, I had learnt the truly meaning of the “responsibility”---- the mutual need and trust of people, the co-operation and inter-reliance.
Later in my life, I continued to experience many failures. But never again did I feel (這里用的是倒裝，是亮點喲，親)that regret for myself. I am satisfied with myself to fulfill my responsibilities as best I can.
Nowadays, this society has become more and more modern. New buildings, new commodities and new fashions appear every day. New ideas, new information, new technologies are be found every day, too. People can talk with each other from any corner of the earth in a matter of seconds. Society is becoming more competitive.
Yet we still face a lot of problems. We learn that crimes take place in broad daylight with crowds of people looking on and not assisting. We hear that there are still about 1 million children in this country who can't even afford to go to elementary schools while enormous sums of money are being squandered away on dinner parties and luxury cars. We buy shoddy medicines, or merely
worthless junk. Many people believe, is the most important thing in the world that must be made, even at the expense of morality and responsibility.
Today’s society determines that we are a generation with a keener sense of competition and efficiency and a greater readiness to think critically and act creatively. BUT, we all forget there is a most important thing is our responsibility, a responsibility to the society, a responsibility to our family, even a responsibility to ourselves. If we lose this thing that we will change into that person we once hate it.
Probably I'll be an ordinary man for the rest of my life. But this doesn't discourage me any, for I know that with my sense of responsibility and devoted efforts to always strive, for the best, it's going to be a meaningful and worthwhile life that I will be living.
Standing here now, I also remember my responsibility. Today, I must finish my speech, and tomorrow, I must study hard for myself. We cannot evade the responsibility, and we cannot let people down. So, everyone must embalm our own responsibilities, whatever they are small or big, now, right now, to accomplish our responsibility, and in the end, to realize our dreams. Because the responsibility is what we cannot afford to lost.

First of all, I’d like to ask you a question, what is the most significant stuff in your mind? I guess the answer may be youth, self-esteem, or even something greater, like the sense of national proud and etcetera. When I asked myself the same question, the answer used to change, but now, it’s clear and certain, responsibility. Growing up gradually, I
realize that responsibility is meaningful, important and momentous. At least, it’s what I cannot afford to lose.
As a member of family, we have been held tightly in the warm embrace from our parents. They give us all their love and we have no idea how much they have sacrificed while we are growing up .We owe them a great deal over the passing days. And now, it’s our responsibility to provide them with good conditions to give them a golden period of lives. In a word, responsibility means love and gratitude.
Families make up the society, and the society needs every one of us. I remember the famous saying from Liang Qichao that excellent juveniles create splendid future of the country. We are supposed to try our best to make China more powerful. It’s our responsibility and aspiration.
Living in the Global Village, to keep safety and peace is our inescapable responsibility. There is no doubt that we are too small to be noticed. Nevertheless I do believe that a little sparks may kindle a great fire. If each of us knows how to live in peace of others or other countries, anger will fade away and hurts of wars will go .If each of us come to realize that the protection of environment can no longer be waited, the tears of regret will never belong to us.
Responsibility, it seems to be cold like a rock, a burden. But when we step into the society, responsibility, as an adult gift, has been quietly landed on our back and we must take it in our hands without other choices. We might feel a little bit helpless, but sometimes it is the helpless feeling that drives us forward and we can become a real man step by step. Gradually, when we see enough of the world and after the baptism of time, we will get to know the true meaning of responsibility and realize we are really alive.

The Responsibility for Us
Last year I learned a lot of things. However, the most important is the attitude which our staffs should be owned- dare undertake responsibility.
It isn’t everyone wants to bear the responsibility due to ability or weak character. But at the new developing conditions, as young stuffs, we should stand the front of difficulty when our company goes into the market and in the presence of competition.
At first, a lot of new problems will emerge with the developing of company. Maybe the problem couldn’t solve by past experience. therefore, we need to learning new knowledge and technology. For example, it is the first time work in petrochemcal main company for our company. So every work details need to learn. As new stuff, I begin to learn new method about antiseptic with my teacher. We have looked up about 50 standards book to confirm the constructing detail, and we stay at the construction site to teach the worker. In this way, we fulfil all tasks. Actually, developing new method is equal to developing yourself.
Secondly, do not afraid of suffer from nervous and busy work. Since 2015,our company begin to apply Delicacy Management. We all know that working at project department take no any holiday, every workmates are so busy. But we still should abandon the extensive management , and learning the method of delicacy management. Maybe it will cost a lot of
resting time, but we will get more benefit after knowing the method well. At last, the most important, we should devote ourself to our company. We give heart to our company, we will obtain more nice harvest, thank you for everyone.

去年一年，我在工作中學到了很多東西，但我認為學到的最重要的卻是我們每一個員工都應該擁有的一種態度，那就是敢于承擔責任。基于自我的個性或者能力的不同，并不是所有人都愿意承擔責任。但在公司走向市場，打造行業領先企業的過程中，我認為作為一名青年人，應該與公司同命運共發展，走在困難的前端。我認為走在困難的前端，需要以下幾點的態度：
1.不斷學習
在公司不斷的壯大中，肯定會不斷的`遇到新的問題，利用老的經驗可能已經不能解決新問題了。所以我們需要不斷的學習新的知識，新的技術。舉個例子來說吧，去年，是我們防腐公司第一次進駐石化總廠。所以每一項工作都需要學習，我作為一名新人，也開始與我的師傅一起學習。我們查閱了不下50本地標準以確定施工細節，并且天天呆在工地上教工人們施工。用這樣的方法，我們圓滿的完成了任務。我認為，解決困難的過程，也是實現個人發展的過程。
2.肯吃苦，不怕吃苦
從2015年開始，我們公司開始實施精細化管理模式，眾所周知在項目上是沒有任何假期的，每一個同事都很忙。但是我們還是應該
摒棄粗放式的管理模式，學習精細化管理的新方法。也許，這會犧牲掉我們很多的休息時間，但是在掌握這一方法之后，我們會為公司帶來更多的收益。
最后一點，也是最重要的一點，我們應該全身心的投入到工作中去，我們全心的工作，自然會收獲美好的未來。

As is shown in the chart above,we can see clearly that the employment rate of college students is more and more low year by year.In 1993,the rate is 93percent,1995 is 91percent and in 1997,it hae down to 90percent.There are reasons here.Frist,as the job market gets shrinking,but jobs which society provided is limited.Second,it's easy for some students to find work.But the fact is that some students think the salary is so low that they don't want to do the job,they except to find a easy work with a higher salary.Third,with more students get into university,there's no shoreage of a appropriate/suitable employee,so,graduates face fierce competition.As far as I'm concerned,pressure is not only an obstacle but also a motivity.Students who are in colleges must work harder than before to keep their competitiveness.Only in this way shoud we adapt the competitive society.I believe through their hardwork they'll get a satisfied job

Concretely speaking,being a current university man/college man,we have the duty to ourselves,to our families,as well as to the society and our country.
The sense of responsibility for nowaday students has been raising clearly.
Thoughtheyhavethehigherstandardonthedevelopmentof self-design,self-realization,self-worth.There are still some problems.Such as unconscious of responsibility for family,love,marriage,work,collectivity,cooperation and other. In one word,the sense of responsibility is being exalted,but the sense of social duty should be enhanced. Below is the reason for the students lacking in responsibility:
First,the direct communication between the students and the society is less and less.
Second,the tache of communication between the students and society are not smoothly.
They can not understand the society well through the limited social activities they can get about.Therefore,they can not have the high sense of responsibility to the society.
Finally,standing here at the beginning of the 21st century,I do suppose that,as an adult,we can examine our
conscience with family,country and the whole world.I am trying my best to be sensitive,sensitive enough for responsibilities.As we all know,students like us,will be lord of future,only if we possess promises,promise to take society and us into consideration.
Thus,graduates should devote themselves and contribute to the country wherever needed.No matter how difficult the living and working conditions are,no matter how much they are paid,and even if they have to sacrifice themselves,they should put what they have learned in school into practice to serve the country

現在的大學生自我責任意識已明顯增強，對自我設計、自我實現、自我價值的發展要求也比較高。但同時也存在一些問題，如家庭責任意識不強，愛情、婚姻責任觀念比較混亂，職業責任認識比較模糊，他人責任和集體責任觀念淡化，合作意識不強等。總體來說，責任意識在提升，但社會責任感還有待增強。
大學生缺乏社會責任感，主要有三個方面的原因：
第一，在校學生與社會的直接溝通越來越少。
第二，在校學生與社會的溝通環節不暢。他們所能參與的社會活動，十分有限，不能使同學們完全地認知這個社會，因而，也就不能樹立起強烈的社會責任感。
第三，“亞文化”在校園內大行其道，外來文化和網絡文化十分盛行，其中有不少都是具有濃重的個人主義、自由主義色彩的文學、影視作品。長期接觸，不免也會沾染其中一些不良思想，如過分看重個人得失、個人感受，從而忽略整體利益。
作為當代大學生，已經成為也必須成為責任主體，因為他已經具備公民權利、公民意識，也必須具備責任意識。要正確認識權利和責任的關系。
作為大學生，首先要正確認識什么是成功，什么是幸福。
什么是幸福？不是你賺了多少錢，現在百萬富翁自殺的也不少。心靈的寧靜與和諧才是幸福。
什么是成功呢？并不是要成為總統、成為名人，那畢竟是少數，關鍵在于有一個健康的體魄和完善的人格，有一份自己熱愛的事業。大學生要增強健全自己人格的觀念。當然，在實際生活中，這樣做會遇到很多問題，關鍵在于如何去面對和處理這些問題，如何應對風險和困難，這需要有深刻的思想認識，又要有堅強的毅力。
