Ladies and Gentlemen: My topic is Honesty. As a correspondent of the Qingdao Morning News, I visited Dr. James Gilman, the President of the International Committee for Marco Polo Studies in England. In this picture, this is James, and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’s tooth. This is a true story. /chuzhong/chusan/ 65 years ago, James lived in Qingdao. Then he was only 5 years old. He often visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there, which he thought was a dragon. He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure. In the late 1930s, when the Japanese occupied Qingdao, his family had to leave. On his last day in Qingdao, he ran to the Aquarium and pulled out one of the teeth from the dragon’s mouth. He kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life. It was always on his conscience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decided to put right his childish error. In 2002, he visited Qingdao and returned it to the Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome. When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. I was deeply touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error. Honesty is a vital quality of human behaviour. So we should try to keep an honest mind in everything we say and do. last year, this year, during national small -- smallbusiness week there was a company just outside of austin, texxas.their company was all about electronics and small circuit boards. you have a warehouse of all of these intricate circuit boards and electronic equipment. the river flooded and came in and just flooded their entire operation. water was deep. med. ithink it destroyed a third of their inventory. everybody they hadnot processed. the gentleman who was the proprietor of thiscompany said what was so amazing, sba was able to come in with a $2 million disaster relief loan. he talked about how his employees would come and work all hours. they had to take cloths andwhite down all of the wires and cables and clean the circuitboards that were salvageable. they spent hours doing this. in sixx weeks they were back up and running. many couldnt come in and work during that time. he continued to pay his employees andtheir benefits through that entire time and helped with donations in the community as well. it lets you know the heart ofentrepreneurs. they are risk takers but they are on 24/7. that is why they will always have a special place in my heart . i know what that is like. we all started small.

In my opinion Dream of the red chamber is the best book I have read. In this book, the great author Cao xueqin his view about love. He had firmly faith in what is the true love and try to tell us that there are different kinds of love, only one kind which should be considered as True Love.
In a dream, and under mythical circumstances, the main character of the novel, Jia baoyu, met the Fairy Disenchantment in the Land of Illusions. She showed him three "registers" each containing the names and "the happenings in life" of 12 girls in his clan. Each girl represents a kind of love.
From the stories which are unfolding in the novel, the reader should know the characteristics of the different kinds of love, and should be able to distinguish True Love from the other kinds.
True love is acceptance, committal, mutual and without any post conditions. The love between Lin daiyu and Jia baoyu is considered to be True Love. Just saying or hearing I love you is not good enough because talk is cheap. Action in mutual commitment is essential, as we can see in the novel.
We always have dreams. What’s ours dream? Do you know what you exactly want? And do you work hard for it. In this book, you can taste the feeling of the author about his strong will. In his words, you can find the charm of Chinese. It is not a book, but a precious deposits. You can get a lot from it. But unfortunately, the novel was never "completed" to such a state. In order to earn as much money as possible to raise the children and to keep them in school,she even went to a hospital regularly to sell her blood. So, what can we learn from Nicks story? First of all, we can learn to appreciate what we have and to be thankful for it. We can also learn to be empathetic towards those who are struggling and to offer them our support and encouragement. But most importantly, we can learn to believe in ourselves and to pursue our passions and dreams with courage and persistence. Nick didnt become a motivational speaker overnight; he had to face rejections, doubts, and failures along the way. Yet he kept going, believing that he had a unique message to share and a purpose to fulfill. He refused to let his physical condition define him or limit his potential. He found his own way of making a difference in the world and added value to peoples lives.
So, my dear friends, what is your unique message, purpose, or passion? What is your vision for the future, and what steps are you taking to make it a reality? Are you letting fear, doubt, or complacency hold you back from pursuing your dreams? Are you settling for less than what you truly deserve and desire? Or are you seizing the opportunities that come your way, and using your strengths, skills, and interests to create a better world for yourself and others?
I challenge you today to think about these questions and to take action towards your goals and dreams. You dont need to have all the answers or resources right now; you just need to start where you are, with what you have. You may encounter setbacks, rejections, or criticism, but dont let them discourage you. Instead, learn from them, improve yourself, and keep moving forward. Believe in yourself and your abilities, and surround yourself with people who support and inspire you. And most importantly, never give up on your dreams, no matter how impossible or distant they may seem.

Three months ago,twenty six boys and four girls gathered together on the ground of the university Of Geosciences,At that moment ,they formed the class numbered 111112. Time passed by,and I conclude one idea in my mind.Well ,this idea doesn’t only come from my unyielding
faith in the united spirit of the chinese people but it also comes from my own story. I am an eighteen year-old boy who has never experienced being away from my parents for more than a month.At first,I thought I have to learn to be independent and I woulde have to overcome the difficulties with no one to depend on. But a story changed my mind.
Five days ago,I got a heavy cold.Recalling that day’s event,I was in low condition and felt helpless in the bed,however,after knowing what had happened,one of classmates just say” I will accompany you along the way to the hospital and the way back to school.”That single moment of his words may not mean much.But it is where we start,it is where we all form the common belief that your guys’ shoulders will be ready for you whenever you are in need of help even though in the risky of falling behind in study.The class you are in will be your another family. And there is also another story I would like to mention here,Our class ranked low in this month,but there are not blames,not critics,not anything like you should have done it better.We just say”We can,and we will do it better and better step after step.”
Well, I think the two things just reflect one spirit which has seared into my heart that we may come from different places and we may have different stories and we may move in the different directions towards different futures.But we all would give the world to make our class shine.we are not only the sum of its parts that out of many,we are truly one.
